Center differential lock

My soon to be ex hit the center differential lock button by accident then drove for 30 miles on the highway. When I checked it the differential light and the VSC light were both on. I got both lights off, but don't know if this did any damage?
It is an '06 sport V8 4wd.
She saw the lights but didn't bother to check the manual:bash:

You should be fine if she was highway driving , if was in the city , slow turns , ect.... I would be a little concerned , but you should be fine.

Center diff locks the front and rear axles together. When you make a sharp or U-turn on dry pavement, it puts a lot of stress on the center diff because your front and rear axles are turning at different speeds. I would assume that this would put stress on the gears in your center diff.

I hit that button with my knee getting in mine last night and I pulled around the corner to park it. It became very hard to move at low speeds and when I did get it parked it wouldn't turn off. I have it under warranty until 2018 also so if its something mechanical/electronic that I can't fix myself just tell me.(I tried park and neutral gear positions and still nothing). Any help on that would be awesome!

If it's still parked where you left it, try backing up with the wheels turned the same as they were to get it parked. If that's not possible, any amount you can back up and retrace the original arc will help. If it's still stuck, you can drive it but you'll want the wheels as straight as you can get them so, just as you would any other time, slowly turn the wheel as the car starts to move and get straight. Try unlocking it under gentle power or coasting. If still no go, make a mild turn in the opposite direction of the way you parked it and then get straight again. Don't be surprised if the clunk is a little loud when it unlocks.

When i push mine, it also locks the VSC (accdg to dashboard). I only use it when i play in the snow especially @ WalMart's parking lot. Anyways, what is it for? Stealership told me to use it along with 4Lo when i'm stuck.

Anyways, what is it for? Stealership told me to use it along with 4Lo when i'm stuck.

Lock the center diff and shift into 4 Lo when going offroad. Do that BEFORE you get stuck.

Manual says that you can just activate diff lock when you need and not mention any restrictions like for 4lo activating.
So it seems that there are no restrictions when diff lock can be activated, except slipping and 2wd mode. Am I right?
