I did a little bit of work this week on the 4runner. This is the first SUV I've had in a long time and I mainly bought it for hauling the wife/kid/toys around...however, looking at it in stock form--I found it to be less than exciting. Reliable, decent performer, decent gas mileage--but not really a "looker".

Enter my new **** Cepek DC1 Black's, a Cornfed 3/2 with OME long travel shocks in the back, and some Discovery STT's in 285/70/17 form, as well as 20% tint all around.

I'm much more excited about the vehicle now!

I'd love to hear your feedback:

looks awesome!

I think your truck looks great and Ill say it first before many others chime in....loose the running boards.

That. Is. SWEEEET :)
I like the lift, I like the wheels, I like the tires.
how did the ride change with those knobby tires? Ive been wanting to put those wheels and tires both on my wrangler, and would love to do something like that to my 4runner, but I am hesitant to mess up the smooth quite ride.

The ride is slightly harsher, but the only REAL difference is the noise. These tires are NOISY compared to the stock Michelin A/T's. It's not unbearable--and I drive my 4runner to work every day--but it is noisier.

Thanks for the compliments!

nice! what size wheels do you have, and are you having any rubbing issues on your front UCA's?

They are 17's and the only rubbing issues I had were with the front bumper and the mudflap on the front fender, which I trimmed.

They clear the UCA's pretty easily.

So I had to try the new mods out this afternoon--unfortunately for me a big snow storm started moving in here in Utah... ;)
