certifit headlights?

I believe they are plastic. Lot's of posts around here concerning certifit, depot and oem.
Bought some Depot lights for my 98, but haven't installed them yet.
Josh:lookout:

yeah man a lot of the cheaper ebay headlights say that they are the same as factory specs as OEM. i've emailed a couple of them and everyone one of them told me they are plastic so far.

Certifit has 01' headlights for $47 each which seems too cheap for glass lenses. I haven't checked the dealership but Im sure its atleast $250 for a pair

the headlights certifit sells are depo brand. they are all glass. no one makes plastic headlights for our vehicles.

Agree. Some of the cheapos substitute plastic for for metal in the can assembly parts, but the lenses are all glass. The beam patterns are crappy on all but OEM, AFAIK.

I got my aftermarket's from E-bay.....and they are glass.......

wait so some headlight housing is actually metal? I dont know about your's but my OEMs are plastic.

The emails i got i specifically asked what the lenses were made of and was told they were plastic but who knows these guys prob deal with a ton of headlights but on a side note out of everybody that has bought headlights i dont think a single one has had a plastic lens

I have the OEM 99' headlights and I can see the silver inside the housing peeling but it doesn't look metal. It looks to be the same foil/chrome that is on the grill. I'm pretty sure car companies started straying away from metal back in the 80's

From what I've seen online for headlight assembly choices I may do the morimoto projector retrofit. It will probably end up costing me the same as buying OEM headlights

yeah the chrome inside the headlight is really brittle. when i did my retrofit i tried cleaning a small spot and the reflection stuff came right off
