Has anybody seen or heard of an SR5 without the convenience package that includes the moonroof and outlets in front and back? I would love to have the outlets but they aren't worth the $1000 cost of the package which includes a moonroof that I don't want. I've always had a moonroof in my vehicles and have never had any use for it...never open and in fact, always keep the sunscreen covering it.

I'm looking for one with 3rd row leather WITHOUT sun/moon roof.

According to the 2010 ordering report the 3rd row is selectable by itself with no other requirements; chose the "TH" for cloth, "TI" for leather. However, on the website there is no pre-packaged option that includes a third row and leather without including a moon roof.
You can place a preference request with a dealer with little more than a $500 deposit, provided you can find one that will take you seriously. There is also a rumor that you can place a special order, but that has yet to be a proven possibility with the current generation. I would think the production slowdown Toyota anticipates through the rest of the summer will make it harder to obtain the combination you specify. In theory, you should be able to order it. Do you live in Theory?

How long do you plan to keep the 4Runner? One thing to consider, most people will want the moonroof when it's time to sell and there is an add for it in kbb. Because it's hard to find and a dealer might have to trade or wait for it you might not get as good a discount on this vehicle.

I like having it. I like the extra light in the cabin area and usually only pull the sunshade on really bright days. I also crack the sunroof while I'm at work to keep the truck slightly cooler. Just personal preference.
Nope. I never used mine in any car as well. Unfortunately, they include them in packages that I want.

I never used it on the previous vehicles I had. This one however has me using it almost all the time. For some reason (light, size, ease of operation) I get in and open the sunroof. I think it is the combination of the back glass rolling down and the sunroof that I really like.

Agreed!! I love having a back window that will roll down. And it also quitens the noise when the roof is open with the rear window down slighlty. I love my sunroof and I always have the shade open unless it's extremely cold or raining hard (it dampens the noise a bit when raining to close the sun shade IMO).

Volrus7 - I think kmiller makes the key point. With the back window down, cracking the moon roof allows you to get a flow of air through the truck instead of having the weird circulation of air just coming in the back. You'd get some of this with the side windows open, but the moon roof really seems to do the trick. That might be a difference for you compared to other vehicles you had that didn't have the rear window.
