Its been almost 2 years since the gear oil in my 4runner was changed. I plan to change the rear diff and gearbox oil only. I am just wondering if its worth changing the transfer case or not. I barely use 4x4, only occasionally in the winter and summer. Last time, the guy that did it said that the front diff fluid looked brand new. So I dont think ill bother changing the front diff, but I wasnt sure about the transfer case. Does the transfer case oil wear out when you are only using 2WD most of the time?
