changeing front driverside axel???

k so im in the middle of changeing my driver side front axel on my 93 toy 4runner and got everything apart but the axel gets cought up and i cant get it to drop down. i was told to undo the top ball joint to give it a little more play but it wont come apart. grrr. i dnt know if its just that im a small girl and need a little more power behind me or if i have to take the bottum one apart too. any ideas or tricks????? :bash:

Most autoparts stores that have a loan-a-tool program will have it. Good luck!
