so my re**** friend is at a park with a disc golf course, a lake, benches, walking trails, etc. he goes there to take pictures of his Chevy Avalanche and he pulls off into the grass to get a Kodak moment spot. it has rained here for 3 straight days and he has 2wd. his dumb butt got stuck in the GRASS, yes in the grass. he calls my other friend to come pull him out. in the midst of tying him up, my friend's radar detector starts beeping... someone called the cops and told them about the situation!!! (what a d-bag). anyway, both of my friends get charged with vandalism and one was just trying to get the other one unstuck. germantown police suck!!!!

He got stuck in grass?! Hahahhaha! I'm sorry, but wet or not with a light foot you should be able to not get stuck in grass. :biggrin2:

Wet grass is just like a sheet of ice! If you are on an incline you will slide down the slope, even if the vehicle is in park!

Well if he was on an incline he shouldn't have pulled down there in the first place. I was trying to give the guy SOME credit lol

Maybe, maybe not.

I was at a car show held on grass. The week before the event the area was hit with HEAVY rain.
The grass was so SOFT that anything that drove on it started to sink in. Someone I know had a 4WD F250 Ford Superduty.
His wife managed to bury the front tires of the truck VERY DEEP in the grass/mud. The look on his face when he saw the truck was priceless.
Interesting thing was he got the truck out WITHOUT the help of a tow truck or a tow.

I don't think he let her drive the truck on grass after that incident.

The guy just wanted to take a picture. You guys sound as bad as the Ahole cop!

LOL if you say so. I'm not saying he should have been charged with vandalism, but he should have checked the grass out before he just drove a 6000+ vehicle onto it.

makes sense if it's a county/state park, but a warning would have been cool.

btw... your sig picture is bit BIG

funny, I thought that was a pic in the post.... wow that is a big sig pic...

I will add that wet grass is bad, I could not get up a small hill (maybe 10 feet long and a 15 degree slope, if that) due to wet grass, it was so embarrassing....

as far as the policeman, he sure showed those bad boys.... yea right.

Unless you are the owner of the property or get permission from the owner (like a permit to drive on the beach) you can be charged with trespassing. If there is damage, vandalism is a an easy charge because they have to pay someone to maintain the property and repair the damage caused by the vehicle. If the grass was that wet he had no business being there... He couldn't wait until a dry day?

Wet grass is nasty indeed.

As far as the cop being an arse , I take it your buddy WAS PLANNING on fixing the damage he did to the grass after he got out ???

Raining for 3 straight days and he drives on the grass at a public park.......hmmmmm what's wrong with this picture. I really don't think the term "Ahole" should be directed tword the cop.

No offence but when I was a Military Police Officer, I would have done the same. Just speaking from my experience, not to say your friends would have done this, but most people would have taken advantage of the fact that they were let off and possibly did that or something a little worse later.

I'd say the cop is a bit of a tosser! Making the worst out of a bad situation. Like the guy wasn't embarassed enough! In order to get respect, you give it. All the officer had to do was take your buddy's info down and tell him to make the repairs to the grass. If he doesn't, then its deep doo-doo! But no! He cites the guy! Now he will take up the courts time with another frivolous case.

haha my friend is a dumba$$. his truck is by no means an off-road avalanche. it's a black '07 with 24's, tinted windows, chrome door handles, one of those after-market radio system displays, 2 JL Audio 15'' subs in the back... and it's 2wd!!!! i asked him if he was stupid enough to not know the grass was wet and he said he noticed but said "aaahh fck it..." he's stupid like that.

and yes, my sig pic is huge. i dont know how to make it smaller

**here's a pic of my friend's truck and 2 cops cars (or nazi's)**
