Okay. Got new wheel cylinders on, new drums, new calipers, new rotors, and a new (rebuilt) master.
Thanks to some of you board members, I purchased a Motive products pressure bleeder kit. Pretty slick. I was able to bleed the rears in no time flat. Only gripe I have is a lot of fluid loss around where it seals at the reservoir when pressure gets up around 15 psi.
Getting nothing from the calipers, though. Got the wife out and asked her to slowly press in the pedal while the front line was off the master, finally it squirted out. I tried to adjust the pedal, but am almost at the end of adjustment.
I went back to the manual and noticed the gasket for the master cylinder, as a non-re-useable part. I did not notice one in there when I reassembled everything and am wondering if there is sufficient thickness to the gasket to be screwing everything up here with pedal adjustment, etc. I still have the old master, but no gasket there, nothing fell out on disassembly.
Something's definitely screwed up here.
Can anyone tell me if there is any thickness to this gasket? I have 5 days left till the inspection runs out and don't want to have to pay another $60+ to have a re-inspection done. Especially with a head gasket job looming in the very near future.
