check engine light on!

I just went off roading/mudding and when i was leaving my check engine light came on. my engine is shaking and sounds like its about to die. the vibrations are pretty bad. somebody please help!

The standard reply for this is Flux Capacitor went bad but you won't know till you get the codes read by a scanner.

Wont know til you get the code but sounds like probably mud stuck in the muffler bearings to me.
