Before I take it in to a mechanic I was hoping for some input on what else it could be. So those lights came about a month ago. I took it in to my mechanic in Texas (Now I live in Mass.) who replaced the char. canister for me. I also put a new gas cap on because the old one was loose. About 3,000 miles later, the lights are back on. I just took it in for an oil change a week or two ago to a shop up here. I talked to the owner who checked it out and said it looks fine, but that was after I drove around for a week after unhooking the battery. Check engine lights came back on again, and after scanning it the code pops up as a small leak somewhere. Anyways, this is driving me crazy. I have no income coming in right now as it is and the car needs to be inspected in less than two weeks and pass (This is the first time I am having it inspected in Mass.). Any ideas to what else it could be?
