so im thinking about put together my own lift instead of buying a complete set,
what i have in mind is doing the lc front coil lift. going with 8 wrap, but i heard that with lc coil lift there is some fab work needed, i already know that im going with 882 in the front, with a diff drop, so whats there to be done in the back? any input would be helpful. :fro:

there shouldnt be any modifications need to the rear... its basically the same as if u change out the coils with any other. The only diff is that the LC coils these will be longer.

those are recommended but u dont HAVE to have them... like im currently running 891s in the rear and my panhard bar is pushed over to the right so most ppl still recommend u get it with any lift that ur gonna do. Its nice to have bc the rear axle will be exactly in the middle but a slight push to the right its anything to stress too bad over unless u wheel everyday.

As for the extended brake, u not need it tho alot of ppl say its after if u do just in case. Im just gonna say that ive talked to alot of guys who have the 9 wraps and a 2" BL and they say that there isnt a bunch of slack but it isnt going to go anywhere. This is the exact setup i plan to do and i dont plan on extending the brake line.

cool im just gonna move the panhard bar bracket a little then.

well i mean u cant move it... basically if the bar is kept as is the rear axle moves to the right a bit and well if u extend it or weld on a drop bracket, the axle will be centered. sry for the misunderstanding.

lol ya i think its worth it if u know how to weld... unfortunately i dont so if i did get one id have to go with the adjustable panhard bar.

Ok I have changed my rear coils 3 times firs OME 891s then LC 9 wrap now LC 850 and I have the ss adjustable pan hard bar and and I love it well worth the money. if you go with LC coils.you will need longer shocks I'm running procomp shocks from a 4 inch lifted jeep front end they seem to be working fine. and the extended brake line is cheap insurance just get it I have it and I get mad flex in the rear.

if you know how to weld or know someone that can weld it wouldnt be that hard to lengthen that bar a bit, if youre not planning on changing coils out all the time having it fixed would work just fine. Just cut it in half and sleeve the inside of the whole bar with some dom or good heavy tubing and weld the bar back together, just a little longer. This will get that extra length you need as well as make the bar stronger. This is what i plan on eventually doing, as i to will be running 9 wraps soon.

yeah that sounds easier to do, since i wont be changing coils all the time.

ya its alot cheaper then an adjustable track bar from ss or somewhere else. Might cost 30 bucks at the most if you dont have the right size tubing already.

ya wat trailmix said is a cheaper way as long as u know someone that can do it... so trailmix u know how to weld? i wanna do mine when i get my 9 wraps?

ya i can weld, my welds arent the best looking welds ever but nothing ive welded so far has come apart, but youll cover them up with paint anyways. If i can find another 3rd gen in the next month or so we could get together and do both at the same time, i already bought some 9 wraps from the dude you bought some from so hopefully i can piece together the rest of a lift so that when i find a new runner i can lift it right away
