I hear ya', bro! I'm originally from Ohio, so I'm well-versed in the trials and tribulations of crusty parts. Here in South Dakota they use mostly sand, so while they can't clean roads worth a hoot, at least the vehicles last longer (LOL)! I'm SOOO happy that my latest rig is from sunny CA, with almost no rust--and that's a '95 model!
They use a lot of salt on the roads in middle TN as well during the winter months when it snows. A hand full of these older Toyota's are rusty here too. I found mine as a rust free 4runner. I jumped on it! I think it was originally a South Carolina vehicle.
