As I was riding to work this morning I was stopped at a light and saw this big red lifted pickup hauling @$$ up to the light in the right lane. Just as it was approaching I heard a big BAM and saw sparks flying then saw a wheel shoot across all 3 lanes into the center divider. The truck kept on going, taking the right turn rather quickly, so I thought damn that guy just lost his spare. Well the truck immediately turned right again into the gas station on the corner and when he did I saw that his front right wheel and hub assembly was just gone. Somehow the truck stayed upright and drove on 3 wheels to make it there. Nobody was hurt and other than the truck nobody else had any damage (lucky since the wheel/hub hurled straight across narrowly missing the line of cars I was in). Since I was on my bike, that would have just plowed me and I never could have moved in time. This wasn't a T4R but it really drove home to make sure to check the suspension parts, especially on trucks with known issues! Stay safe out there people!

PM in general, stay in front of issues, do the regularly scheduled maintenance, don't wait for problems to find you.

Everyday occurrence in most citys. Ask any tow truck driver. They tow these failures daily and usually Toyota's.

Was rolling into work a few weeks ago and seen a co-workers Chevy in the same 3 wheeled situation a few turns before you get to the building, big gouge in the pavement where he skid it to a halt.

My runner has 240k miles on it, I have no idea if the LBJ's have ever been replaced but I highly doubt it, and if they were I doubt even more they are OEM. Currently waiting on new ones to arrive from Camelback just to get it off my mind. I drive like I'm on eggshells thinking the next turn I'm going to go careening into the ditch. Doing the tie rod ends (Inner and outer) as well while I'm at it.
