If everything is true about the police dragging ass and not doing their job, that department needs to be put under investigation.

From what I've read they determined that the car was in the dealership's possession and that the employee was a representative with legal access, so there was no "crime" committed.

I wonder how quick the owner of the dealership will give him what he wants when he starts protesting in front of the lot and starts driving away customers.

It's already been in online forums and social media and now national news and they have been stonewalling. Not good for business at all. Or maybe they were waiting to get enough attention before they make it right.

Glad to see. I would have surpassed the dealer and gone to corporate sooner.
In regards to the investigation. If that was the driver's statement, that he was a friend that was allowed to borrow it, he should be charged with filing a false police report. They can't charge him with theft of the car unfortunately.

According to the second article, they are getting a new car delivered and treating the insurance money (what ever is leftover after payoff) as a down payment on the 2013.

I hope when all is said and done, they owe less on the 13 than they did on the 12.
