Does anyone have a good Toyota mechanic in the Chicagoland area? I'm in the Northwest Suburbs
I am about to order all the parts for my rear axle seals and bearings. I am looking for a shop to either bring my axles to in order to press the parts off and on for me, or do all the labor if the price isn't too bad. I am looking for someone who is experienced with these trucks and/or is open minded enough to flip the axle seal retainer as shown in the Dr Coffee method and show me a grease test prior to reassembly.
If no specific recommendations - what kind of shop am I looking for the do the press work? Is it just any auto shop willing to do it? Everything I see says "machine shop" - I'm not sure how to find one.
I would buy the press, but I have no garage and nowhere else to put one!
