I know its all electronics and stuff, but I still love the feeling of my T4R Limited 'recognizing me' when I am around with the FOB, unlocking all doors, and turning on the lights- there is something very cool about it! Just wanted to share- feel free to share if you have things like that u also like that are similar.
PS- I also love the roar of the beast when it comes to life every morning!

You can thank the fan clutch for "the roar". Not many vehicles use the old style fan clutches these days, so it's kinda rare.

To each their own I guess. One of the reasons I'm looking at buying a Trail instead of the LTD is the SmartKey System, which I don't want. I'm just too old school.

It's also cool (in my opinion) to note that you can NOT lock the fob in the vehicle at all. Granted, if you do what I do and never take it out of your pocket its no big deal. It's just interesting that should it slip out of your pocket, and you try to manually lock your doors, once you shut the door it detects the fob in vehicle - beeps and unlocks. In my 4th gen you couldn't lock the door if the key was in the ignition, but this is the first one I've owned where it "Detects it in the car" and won't lock. Toyota saving us from ourselves.

I also like the "touch to unlock" "touch to lock" door handle sensors, that's really clean in my opinion. I've seen others, but they have a button you push, this is the first I've seen where it's integrated as it is. Works very well.

As others have mentioned, it "lighting up" as you approach is also very cool.

kingpin748 I guess I have not paid attention very well but the interior lights turn on also when your near the truck? I did notice that the puddle lights come on which is Great! i will check tonight for sure thats a cool feature:biggrin2:
