Small update:

Got tired of looking at the rust on my hitch so I painted it and added a Toyota hitch plug. This looks way better and will keep me satisfied till I get a new rear bumper with tire carrier.

Also thinking I may be selling one of these soon...

The one I got from greenbowclounty didn't have it I was just going to clip the white connector off and connect to the wires behind the plug.

If you find the paint that matches your interior, plz post it! I'm trying to find a good paint to match mine to the oak interior as well but haven't had any luck finding a color.

So as I was crawling underneath my 4runner to finish plumbing my external trans cooler I looked and saw creamy grease splattered around inner CV boot.. great.. It was completely torn.. then I looked to the other side and bam.. that one was the same way.. Lucky me.. the both went at the same time! So I had to temporarily duct tape them and drive on them for two weeks. Surprisingly the duct tape held! (I used bright tape to keep an eye on it easier).

I ended up going with new Napa axles. They were only $80 each with a lifetime warranty and required no cores.

Both sides took my about 3 hours. That may be slow but I was taking my time and learning as I went. I recommend using the jack method for getting the knuckle back down on the LBJ and I also highly recommend using new Lower Ball Joint bolts. When I replaced the LBJ the first time a few of the stock bolts wouldn't torque properly and ended up stretching. These brand new Toyota bolts torqued nice and easy with no issues.

I know you're going ARB front and rear, but are manual locking hubs in the future as well?

Also cant really tell in the pictures but did you stretching the boots out a little so they don't rub as much?

I won't be doing manual hubs anytime soon. I have researched them and think I will pass for now. Seems like for the work and money it may not be worth it.

I didn't mess with the boots at all. I'm just going to run them and hope for the best!

I think I have my coilovers cranked up a little more than yours so you might be okay. But in case you start to see the inner boot getting worn again, I'd recommend looking into lowrange offroads CV boot. They sell it as an outer CV boot, but really its for the inner.

I may just get those and put them on my factory axles I just removed. I didn't have any damage on the old ones yet. Then I can have a set of trail spares

Got a couple JDM goodies...

This switch is factory for the rear spoiler with hitch mirror. I still need to get one though... I'm stoked though because I havent seen this switch before.

And then a triple din bezel. I may have a black one coming so I will hold off on painting this one for now.

Found some snow yesterday. This was technically the first time I have driven "off-road" using 4wheel drive.. it did amazing! Even without lockers it grabbed awesome. These tires had zero issues!

I ordered a 4xinnovations rear bumper with tire carrier on a black Friday sale. Lead time was 4-6 weeks. I figured with the Holidays that may delay it a little and I was fine with that.. but.. It came yesterday on time!! Very impressed! I had ordered something similar for my 87 a year ago from another company I won't name and it took over 3 months! So stoked..

I am going to try and get it test fit this weekend before taking it for powder coating along with my sliders and a couple other small things.
