The new rig is coming along great.... and a much rarer color too... so you kinda made out alright.

Headlights are all sealed up and bolted on. Now I just have to plug them in and tidy up the wiring

I'm jealous. I will hopefully be ordering everything to do this in August. Trying to decide about painting the housings or not.

For me it was the overall theme of the vehicle that decided. For my white 99 the chrome housings would have been great but since I am going a dark theme with this runner then it was a given

I thought about painting the corners of the housing black to match my darker flares, grille, and lower valances. But leaving the chrome as the rest of the rig is the desert dune color.

How do you find those surf mats? Looking into getting one, maybe a different color combo than the one you're selling though.

Hours and hours of scouring Japanese auctions. They don't pop up a lot. So far I have only seen this print and solid yellow like I sold a friend here a while ago. Here is his down toward mid of page:

Then what I am really excited about.... JDM rear SSR-X wing, factory painted and with all new hardware included! This was a unicorn find for me being it matched perfect with all the goodies!! I have a SSR-G spoiler with the motorized mirror but I am going to wait on that for a while (plus its black and although matches the bumpers good its not as clean as this). These are just pics of holding it up, not actually mounted. I need to figure out how to mount this.

Love the wing! Will the brackets and everything cover up the existing holes left behind from the OEM spoiler or are you trying to figure out how to cover them up when mounting it?

I don't think they will cover them up. I was planning on just filling the holes with silicon and once it dries using touch up paint to kind of mask them. They really wont be seen unless you are on top or really looking for them.

Chipped away some more here and there and got a few things done.

I got the wiring all tucked away on the passenger side and since that side was all apart I figured it was a good time to do my sonoran washer bottle relocation. I had to extend both the wiring for washer motors and the tubing for the fluid. But look at all the room it clears up in the wheel well. I also realized I dont have the cap since my wreck so I have to get another.

I also got my lower ball joints on and outer tie rod ends installed and torqued. I also figured since this was all apart down there I would do my TBU. So I started that last night.

I have so many things piled up for this thing and I am trying to knock them out but its never ending! I want to start enjoying this thing! I have parts upon parts ready to go that just need installed. I really need to install some motivation.

On that SS Washer Fluid Bottle, can you still access the headlight to change the bulb? I know you have projectors so it isn't much of a worry, but do you think with regular halogen bulbs you could still get to it or would you have to pull the reservoir?

I will try and get a picture for you tonight of the clearance. I think its ok for pulling bulbs but I will confirm

Wow, that's a lot of upgrades! Did you ever have any contact with the old washer fluid bottle? Those things are big. Part of my liner that covers it got ripped off after my first bumper install.

I never got a chance to test it out... it might not even be necessary but on his site he recommends them for tires 285 and up.

Thanks! I might have to look into an option that has a slightly smaller tank, or do a retrofit. Funny how things snowball like that...

Finally got the front end all done and put back together! Crap it took a long time but I didnt really work on it all the much. Just here and there between spending weekends with family and keeping busy during the week.

Routed my ARB line and coiled it on top the passenger fender where the compressor will be mounted.

Wheels are back on and the alignment was way off but now its close enough to drive it for its alignment this weekend.

Also worked on painting my factory chrome and black grill to match the body color. It turned out ok.. I definitely need to redo part of it but it will have to do for now.

I will get some better pics this weekend when I finally take it out of the garage for the first time in 5 months!!
