Oh I know. I have hundreds of them that I have acquired over the course of 2 deployments. I like your build a lot. Hopefully I will be able to document mine also. What Japanese auction did you find all the JDM goodies? That rear spoiler is a must have. I saw your mirror wing on CL the other day but I like the current one you have

I don't have hundreds yet! I see some people dropping over $50 for one patch... no thanks. I would rather buy car parts but I still like to get the ones I can.

I got my JDM stuff from www.noppin.com I haven't got anything for a long while cause the deals have just not been there after you pay a crap load for shipping :/

I was super stoked with plans to run the mirror spoiler but I just happened to find the color matched spoiler I have now and it won me over with not requiring any drilling for mounting so I was stoked.

Burtman makes an aftermarket spoiler like mine and they even paint match when you order.

Yeah I have seen those burtman ones and will probably pull the trigger on it once I have the cash. My priority right now is tires for our awesome PNW winter. My 1st gen was a beast in the rain and snow with those MT/R's so I will probably end up getting them again.

I like your colored flag

Those were my first 3 patches! I have got several more since then :) Kind of addicting![/QUOTE]

Keep mine on the sunroom panel [emoji1598]

Looking at your 4Runner makes me want one of those rear wings more and more. Looks good man

Thank you :) I didn't realize I wanted one either till I happened to find it paint matched. Got super lucky and now I love it and would try to get one again if I got another runner.

Got a couple JDM goodies...

This switch is factory for the rear spoiler with hitch mirror. I still need to get one though... I'm stoked though because I havent seen this switch before.

And then a triple din bezel. I may have a black one coming so I will hold off on painting this one for now.

Quick question about changing these centers out. I have the climate control, does that matter when swapping things out? I would like to get rid of the wood grain and replace it with the stainless look from a sport model.

It doesn't matter swapping these out if you are using US centers. If you try to use one of these JDM triple din centers then there is lots of mods required to make the center piece fit.

Cool! I saw those on a 5th gen today. Pretty slick. So, can you still use your cargo cover, or does the panel interfere with it deploying? Have you had a chance to get out to any trails lately? I saw a FB post for PNW Toyota Expeditions that also had a run out near your neck of the woods. I was even toying with the idea of heading down there if nothing was going on here today, but we managed to get something together out in the Olympic National Forrest.

Yeah my cargo cover closes still. It just gets squished pretty minor against the rack. You can see in video towards the end.

I have not done any offroad :( I am pretty overwhelmed with so much going on. I'm waiting for it to snow so I am forced to start using it! Need to get that Andy mod done soon though!

This weekend I changed my oil and front diff gear oil and put my front skid plate on. The front most mounts of the skid plate have provisions for 5 bolts. When using the ARB bumper winch cover that covers the bottom side of winch you can only use 3 bolts. I think that 3 is plenty cause I still have 4 other bolts holding skid plate on not at this location. But.. one of the 3 of mine has a busted bolt still stuck in there. So I eventually have to drill that out. Anyways.. I got some work done.

On a side note.... My transmission is whining louder :( It still shifts fine but I'm waiting for the day it completely fails. I hope it lasts till spring. The cost of a new/ rebuilt auto trans is crazy at over 2k. It would cost way less than that to swap to manual. I thought I was going to swap to manual but I really like the auto so now I'm not sure what to do.

The skid plates are powder coated aluminum. I have the other two plates but I need to trim the factory cover that protects the fuel lines and fuel filter before installing. I don't want to remove that cover completely if I don't have to.

Sucks that your transmission is making noise. Hopefully you can find a deal if you need to replace.

When I got my truck that plastic/fiberglass cover thing for the fuel lines was already in kinda rough shape. Then I tore it up even more playing in the snow one day. I tried to patch it together with zip ties, and that held for awhile, until it came off again. I haven't had mine on since I put my skids on, and that's been like 70k miles. I don't think it does much more than act as a splash shield. It might actually be to keep salt off the lines and fittings to prevent corrosion. The early 3rd gens didn't have them I think.

My '97 4WD parts truck didn't have one ever, from the looks of it. My '99 2WD never had one either, though that is less surprising. If it is good shape, keep it, otherwise it isn't big deal to lose it.
