Chip Protection

Ok, so I am wondering about Polishing & waxing. I usually do this every six months. I know many of you detailers would do this at much shorter frequencies, however, do you guys think it may ALSO help chip resistance from airborne rocks if I where to do this more often? Because at the rate its going, the leading edge of the hood will be a mess shortly. BTW I hate bras

I don't think polishing and waxing more often would really help it.. Short of bras, which I don't really like either except for clear bras, would be not driving the vehicle as much..

3M protection... its kind of like a clear plastic that goes on the paint. protects it from rock chips.

Look into the clear Bra option. A really good installer who knows what they are dong will install it to where it is hardly noticeable.

Frequent polish and waxing will not prevent rock chips. I'm not saying you tailgate, but increasing your following distance can help prevent it some. I know I sometimes creep up a little to close and I can hear junk hitting the front of my vehicles:)
