Christmas gift too myself

Got a little bit of Christmass bonus tonight at my works Christmas party so I debating what to get myself for a Christmas/late birthday gift.

Debating between the bud built belly skid or the Lil Skips gas tank skid.

Which would you choose?

Gas tank first so you don't have to take off your budbuilts to install it. It just makes it a bit easier. Plus if you get the gastank skid you might have little $$$ for some lights or something else you want.

Bud built first. I'd rather dent my gas tank then slam my transfer case or tranny pan, or dshaft on something.

I've dented both the gas tank and the bud built belly skid on my last 4runner.

I'll probable be getting the belly skid but I'm still debating just getting both.


The dented belly skid, the dent was right under the transfer case. At the same time I dented the belly skid I dented the front bud built skid plate to where it no longer bolted up correctly.

I did the gas skid first...

the belly protects less stuff. I did the IFS skid then the gas skid and then the belly pan and I think thats the best order to do em..

but its all up to you.

sorry to hijack or anything..but i just spent the first 4 hours of christmas claying and polishing the 4runner in the garage..its 3:40 AM now..maybe i can sleep!
