how can people have christmas without snow? i dont get it? i live in midwest and we alllways have snow, but when i look at florida or cali..... no snow... so i just think they dont celebrate christmas.

I have never had a Christmas with snow, so Christmas without snow is still Christmas to me lol...

Colorado? Nah, move to upstate NY if you want serious snow. Try the Syracuse area....it snows like crazy up there. Or maybe even Buffalo, with their lake effect snow.

If I'm not mistaken, Syracuse averages well over 100 inches of snow every winter, which is more than any other city area in the U.S. that is not in a high elevation mountain area.

Colorado has had some nice snow storms in recent years (like Denver's blizzard in '06), but overall it doesn't average nearly the amount of snow in other snowy areas.

Yeah but I'm not choosing Colorado because of the amount of snow it gets. Just because it's cheaper housing and they get enough snow for snowboarding and to give a white Christmas. For the price of a house here, I could buy 2-3 bigger ones with bigger yards for the same price in Colorado.

Plus we are being invaded by illegal immigrants and that's all you see anymore in CA. They house 5+ families in a single house, and it really brings the area down.

Celebrating my first Christmas with snow. Moved to NorthWest and then bought the '07 SE V6 4X4. This is cold though.

Let's see here... The temps are in the 70's, crystal clear skies, no salted roads, and I can wash my truck every week. If I want snow, I can visit it for the day up in the local mountains, but I don't have to *live* in it. I can't imagine rush hour traffic with snow and ice storms mixed in. No thank you!

LOL, that's not winter. Cold temps, snow & ice....that's what it's all about in winter. I spent Christmas down in central Florida one year and it was the most depressing Christmas ever.

I think I'll stick to the great northeast for winter.

Nice pictures, I too thought it interesting to see something other than just a plain shot of a 4runner.

I was born and raised in Oswego, NY. I can attest to the above. I learned how to drive in the snow. We got a crap load of snow up there last year.

I live in SoCal, and have been here for nearly 20 years now. I don't miss the weather really, but sometimes I'd like to wake up on Christmas Morning, and look out the window and see a blanket of fresh snow over everything. I have to go to the mountains if I want to play in the snow. It is nice to be able to drive an hour and be out of it.
