So I am driving home yesterday and all of the above come on....so I get online and some say it could be the gas cap...checked that and filled up with gas...unhooked the battery for about 20 minutes....lights came back on.

So what are the easiest things to check first.....MAF sensor and o2 sensors?

How can I check the ECU codes? 4runner seems to be driving the same, so I am assuming it is probably an O2 sensor....which one out of 4 I have no idea.

I think on an '01, you still only have two o2 sensors - 1 in front of the cat. converters and 1 after the cats. The one in front is the only one that would affect engine performance, but since the truck is running good it could be either.

Most auto parts stores will check the codes for free, or invest in a good OBD-II code reader (~$100-300) now and have it for the future. Cleaning the MAF may help and it's good maintenance anyways. Search on here for how to clean it, it's been talked about a lot and it's easy to do.

Cool thanks. I am having some maintenance done this weekend so I will have them check that out too...thanks for the input!
