Chrome molding removal

Anybody know how to take the chrome molding off of the rear gate? I;m planning on doing some plasti dipping tomorrow and would love to take it off to make it easier. Thanks!

i would say keep it on and just tape it off. only time i have taken a part off was for my emblem on the front to have the emblem one color and the grill a different color

I think I saw instructions in Trevloc's build thread and vaguely remember it being pretty annoying.

Yes I looked into removing it and it was crazy. Instead just taped off around it when I plastdipped it.
