Chrome Tails are in!!!!

Well, they finally arrived. Thanks go to Xcalibur for putting me into contact with Steve Ganz from Carson Toyota. He ordered these babies for me back in Jul and they arrived today. He had them shipped from Japan then mailed them via US Express Mail ($33) even though I only paid $15 for shipping. So in return I try to help spread his name around the fourm...hope you folks don't mind.

Anyway, I'll post pics later tonight after I install them.

Congrats man. Thanks for posting the pics. I still can't decide if I want to get black or chrome tails. Are you happy with the result? I think they look great and it is always nice to have something that is unique.

Thanks for the compliments.

I love the way they look. Early on I was trying to decide among the two but chose the chromes so that I wouldn't have to change the fronts to match. At the time I was still getting my stereo parts together and some tough decisions had to be made.

Anyway, I am extremely pleased with them.

So you think I would have to get the heads as well with the black? Even with a black runner? I guess I probably won't be getting them anytime soon anyway. I opted to order the JDM chrome taillight trim that goes around our existing red/pink tails. I am told that they don't fit the black or chrome tails, so I we see how much I like the trim before I order the JDM tails.
 
Don't fit...that sounds wrong to me. That is unless you're being told they won't "fit" as in look right versus too big or too small.

My comment about the heads was that for me, I wanted my rears and fronts to perfectly match. Check out jomama if you want to the option I did not go with...he has the black heads and tails.

Good luck with whichever you choose...I'm sure it will look great!

Yeah, I don't know what they mean by they won't fit. I first saw it on japanparts.com and then I confirmed it with Steve Ganz: "They will not fit the black or clear lights, only stock style".

japanparts.com : "Unsuitable for units with Make up combination lamps or Clear combination lamp."

Maybe the next time I am asking Steve something, I'll get a clarification.

Saw the pics of your tail lights and really liked them, I know they come in black and chrome but have been unsuccessful of locating photos of each or where to obtain them.. I went to Carson Toyota website but wasn't very successful there.. Any help would be appreciated, also did you install them??
