Cigarette Lighter/ACC Outlet

Hey all, thanks in advance for the tips.

I have a 2005 T4R Sport Edition that for some reason the outlets, both front and back quit working. I checked BOTH fuses, engine compartment and underneath and to the left of the steering wheel, and the fuses are fine. :wtf:


Anyone else had this problem?

Anything I am missing? I'm stumped.

I know for a fact the fuse for those outlets is too the left of the stearing wheel. I blew that fuse last year, sorry I dont remember which one it was. If it isnt the fuse, I have no other suggestions.

Pop the center console open and check out those wires that run to the 12v outlet, pretty harmless. Ground and battery I believe, red and black, but if both of them stopped working at the same time..hmmm must be a fuse then

Maybe you already know this so I apologize if I'm restating the obvious:

Is this with the truck on or off? The outlets only work with the IGN on (unless you've done the relay bypass mod.)

Yeah I've tried with the key on ACC and all the way on just before you turn it to start it.

Checked all fuses.

This relay you mention, I wonder if IT went bad. Where is it?

Before you go for the relay, try moving the fuses around just to rule them out. Take one of the same size and swap locations in the fuse box.

I did that, I moved all the fuses around and replaced even though they didn't look bad.

I am really stumped here.

Do you have a multi meter or test light? Do you have power on one side at the 15A PWR OUTLET fuse holder (inside fuse box) or does your horn work (on the same 50A J/B circuit in the main fuse block)? See the attached wiring diagram.

I don't think it's an issue on the ground side because each socket has it's own independent ground path.
