CL deals

you've put together a nice rig. the new owner will get quite a good bit of value, even for full asking price. really, if you were in the northeast, you'd sell that for $7K within a week.

good luck with the racing. speaking of, what are you racing?

I helped build a '65 SS pro street Chevelle nearly twenty years ago and did a lot of wrenching on it for the owner/driver. I've always wanted that car and now is my chance.

Yeah, a bit too much for that one, considering it has 196k on the odometer! Clean, and somewhat uncommon, as its a '88 with the 3VZE and fully loaded (power windows/mirrors/locks), but about $1500 too much I think.

Then again, its Colorado, maybe they're high?!?!?! :hungry:

I hear you... the owner may be high due to being in colorado :bounce:
but..... I think that $8900 price may hold water...

I know it seems steep but original T4R's are officially "classics" and the mileage for many buyers is less of an issue as the condition... especially given the age. I still can't believe what dudes are paying for FJ60's....

If that truck really is rust free and is in colorado then isn't it essentially a unicorn? I see you are in Denver Liveoffroad - I figure a rust free older toyota is super rare up there... I bet he gets close to his asking. You know your local market though - it would be in range where I live for sure.

I'm down in Texas and have seen tight Gen 1's going all the way up to $12K for stuff not too far off of this...

I'm not saying it makes "sense"... because none of this does... "this" being restoring and buying old toyotas... if any of us had any "sense" at all we would just quietly drive Camry's back and forth to our office jobs contemplating our slow, boring deaths...

As a fellow 88 owner I wish the seller well...

hmm, well i'm not saying i'm the expert here, but in my mind 1st gen's haven't quite reached the value status of the older land cruisers...yet. there's still a half dozen other 1st gen's for sale around here that are pretty clean for 2-4k, if his is particularly striaight i could maybe see 5k but its still got 200k on a 3.0 which means its going to blow a HG at any moment.... imo 5k is the MOST any reasonable person could ask for that. i saw a turbo 4runner with no rust sell for 5k last year. that is indeed a unicorn. this guy is definitely high!

Interesting that seller says 196k buy the odo meter says 96k

It is a clean truck but needing paint with an engine at the end of their usual life span
