Clanking Noise in suspension possibly, need help

So i got my daystar 2.5/1.5 on and every since when i hit a bump my front passenger side has a clanking noise like something is rattling up against something. Any ideas what it could be?

I am interested in this too. I just put on Cornfed 3/2 lifts and I am getting the same kind of rattling when I hit bumps too. I thought it was my skid plate, but checked that, and all bolts are tight and fine.

my friend's camry had similar noises and it turned out he needed his struts replaced. Once he had that done he said it felt like he was driving on a cloud. Maybe the spacers put added stress on the possibly broken-in suspension to create the noise. It might help to get a professional to look at it

I really hope it is not the strut. My 4runner still has the XREAS, hence only the spacer lift.

Interesting thing we saw at work the other day was a guy with an FJ Cruiser, baja front end, larger tires. Snapped the strut rod right at the base of the shock at full extension. Was impressive and made a hell of a noise.

yes he would hear the noise whenever he would hit bumps, even small ones. He decided to take it to STS tire and they said that was what it was. Their estimate was way too high to replace them so he went elsewhere for that. but both shops told him the struts were shot

Best bet.

Get a pal, have him shake the living crap out of the vehicle while parked as you stick your head under the vehicle and listen. See if you can isolate the sound.

Check any swaybar, shock, etc... bolts that were loosened during the lift install. Often an intermittent clanking is as simple as a loose bolt.
