clanky sounds when driving

so when I have my windows down I hear what sounds kind of like a piece of metal clanging a bit, almost like a small chain that bounces around when I drive. I've looked under it and haven't found anything. Sounds like it's on the passenger front area. Any ideas?

GET UNDER YOUR TRUCK and look!

I had something similar... I forgot to put my tie rod end boot clamps back on. They were jigggling/ dangling on the steel outer tie rod end.

Could be something as simple as a loose heat shield but you need to get under there and keep looking.

Use a small mallet and start banging on stuff until you hear/see something.

If it is very faint and jingley, the locking ring on the front axle nut can do it. My drivers did it, could hear it when driving beside a wall. Rubber mallet on the front rim will confirm this one.

I had a faint, high pitched jingly rattle...finally after about a year I found it was inside the catalytic converter. Even passed smog while rattling....

could be your bumper if you've removed it recently. I didn't tighten one of my side bolts in the wheel well and heard a similar sound for a few weeks until I figured it out.

Alright. Issue discovered and solved. Turns out the passenger brake spring was loose and that was making the sound. New spring and not no sounds.
