clay a new black?

Hi, all. My 05' black sport will be in this week, I told the dealership not to wash it (I just retired from there & they use a brush on a stick for everything!) It doesnt have any "paint sealant ", I'm basicly starting from scratch, the paint will only be a couple of weeks old. .. any.advice????????????

basically you shouldn't have to clay or polish it. check for swirl marks. if there are...use a mild polish to get them off. otherwise...i'd jus say start waxing. get a few layers on there and repeat every month. some people repeat every two or three months, but i'm anal.

congrats on the new vehicle.

There shouldn't be much besides washing the vehicle and coating it with a sealer/wax job. I do complete job twice a year as it snows here... so once before and once after.

Check the "Detailing" section of the forum. It should offer lots of methods/suggestions.
