Clean your MAF Sensor to Avoid Stalling on the Highway

Just wanted to make a post about this because it could help someone out in the future.

Yesterday while merging onto the highway, my truck stalled. Immediate diagnosis i believed it to be a bad fuel pump or FPR because it would start, and quickly die within a second.

Before you even think about replacing a fuel pump, filter, or fuel pressure regulator, clean your MAF sensor. I unplugged the MAF and the truck stayed running. All it needed was a quick shot of cleaner, plugged her back in and avoided taking apart the fuel system unknowingly. If you havent cleaned yours in a while I suggest you do so soon, because my truck was running like a top before this happened.

Thanks Majkmichael for the extra brainpower.:AK47:

Don't forget to do the idle and a/f relearn procedures. *Extra footnote*

If MAF is being cleaned, may as well do the IAC too.

If air cleaner element is kept really clean, it minimizes the frequency of MAF/IAC needing cleaning considerably.

I do them all at the same time. MAF/intake air temp, IAC, TPS, throttle body, all connectors. Relearn brand new.
