Decided to clear my headlights this afternoon, was sitting around the house doing nothing...so I figured why not! Also got rid of the orange turn signals/DRL's while the headlight were removed anyways. Let me know what you guys think!

FYI, the 06+ Tails, and rear spoiler are on the way. :D

Looks real good man, that was one of the first things I did to my 4runner. Since mine is black though and I painted my grille emblem black I am going to take mine back apart and paint them black. I want to get some LED tails too but I want to get rid of my hump spoiler, I like the sleeker 03-04 one better.

Looks good.

Not sure what you mean by clear?

Can you do a detailed writeup of how you did this?

I'm still wondering why everyone likes to "clear" their headlights and DRL's. I think the headlights look too blank without the little orange reflector and I also like the orange behind the DRL lens. I've never been one for the trends though, maybe I'm weird.

I also think it looks better with the orange reflector.

On some vehicles, though, it definitely looks better cleared. On the 4Runner, I say leave it as it comes.

Yeah, you have to open the headlights. Only took about 3hrs, all said and done.

Details, we need details. Writeup how you do this. How do you seal them back up? What do you use in place of the amber?

I just followed this write up:

I only used the info for baking/oven procedure.

http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?threadid=12065

Now sealing it back up, preheat the oven at 260 degrees F, place the headlight back in for about 5mins. After 5mins, remove the headlights and place clamps all round it.

ie.

Let it sit for about 10mins, stick it back in the oven again (same temp and time), after the mins, reapply the clamps again and let it sit for about 20mins.

Now that you're all done with the oven, I applied clear silicone all around to prevent any condensation later down the road.

Any questions, let me know. :D
