Clicking/knocking while braking, coming from '00 4R.

Hi All,

I have search, but have not found any answers. I thought I would ask here before seeking a mechanic.

I have noticed (after I bought the vehicle) that when I am slowly reversing or going forward (about 4mph) I hear what seems to be sloppy brake pads making a moderately loud clicking/knocking sound.

I am assuming this is due to smaller pads than what should be there, or something worse... While driving under normal conditions, there are no problems with the brakes. I am just concerned something might happen when I need to brake in an emergency.

On another observation, I have noticed that there is a constant chirping coming from the undercarriage as well. I have prodded things down there, and I cannot find the source.

Any help/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Joseph

There are actually 3 more pages to that TSB, so send me a pm if you want and I can email them to you. The other pages detail exactly where to apply the grease.
