Clicking noise then slipping warning light, anyone else?

Hi all,

I was searching the forum, but couldn't find any threads for this.

This is the second time it happened, first time was about 3 or 4 months ago. I go from reverse then drive. When I let go of the brake pedal, I hear and feel a wire-snapping feeling/sound. Then my slip indicator light comes on briefly and then turns off. It was pretty much leveled road and was wondering, has anyone else encountered this? Any help would be great.

If you did not completely stop during the transition from reverse, the truck thought it was rolling backwards and engaged the brakes/hill hold feature. Completely normal as far as I know.

Just like the guy above me mentioned......its a hill hold feature using the abs system to hold the brakes clamped so you dont roll backwards. You obviously confused it by shifting quickly into drive while moving in reverse, so the computer thought you were on a hill and rolling back. FYI, don't shift into drive while moving backwards. You put a great deal of unnecessary stress on the transmission.

From what you described , it's perfectly normal.
