Aloha from Oahu. My 04 Limited 4X4 has a clicking noise when I am stopped on the road on an incline and I release my brakes and start rolling backwards. Is this the hill-start assist control malfunctioning? I don't have that option turned on at the times when this happens. Just wondering. Mahalo for your time and responses in advance.

Hill start assist is always on. The button that you are turning off is probably for the decline assist.
Yes the clicking noise is probably the Hill Assist. It is only supposed to hold the truck momentarily to go from the brake to the gas. So, if you are letting off longer than a couple of seconds it will roll back and click.
