Clicking Noise

I have a clicking noise coming from the left front wheel. It happens when I am in 2wd and it only happens when I turn at slow speeds. I just got the 2005 4runner recently and have no Idea what is causing it. It is a V6 with 4wd but this happens in 2wd, not sure if it also happens in 4wd.


Also, the other day in the rain when I pushed on the gas it made an exaggerated version of the sound when the back wheels started spinning.

I have seen where some people say it is the CV but can it be in 2wd?

A clicking noise from the wheel while turning usually means a worn or un-lubed CV axle. Take a look at the boot and see if it's torn and grease has been thrown all over. If so, new grease and replacing the boot may solve the problem. And yes, it can happen in 2wd.
