Clifford avital/prime?

Hey everyone!!

I have a clifford alarm, but I'm not sure of the model or how to program it. I would like to figure It out myself before I bring It to a alarm specialist, so I'm hoping someone can help.

It has a 2 button remote. On the lower driver side door of my 4runner their are 2 toggle switches, I know one of them Is the Valet switch but have no Idea what the other one does. I also have a intellistart module that sometimes works when I press button 2, most of the time It doesn't work. I'm trying to figure out how to program this alarm so I can use the intellistart to warm up my truck before I put my newborn Inside.

Please, If someone can help that would be greatly appreciated

When you say it doesn't work do you mean that it the car won't turn over or that the car acts like you never pushed the button?

When doing remote start there is a wire that hooks to your tach wire in the vehicle. The module then learns the tach and can crank the car every time. The alternative is changing the remote start over to voltage sensing. This works ONLY in places where it doesn't ever get cold. If it gets cold where you are, then that would explain your remote start not working much. So if whoever installed the remote start made it voltage sensing instead of tach then that could be why it doesn't work half the time.

To be able to program anything into the alarm you're going to need to know the model number... meaning you are going to have to find the box that controls everything. Once you find it you are home free.

When I say It doesn't work most of the time, what I mean Is I press the number 2 button on the remote and most of the time regardless of the temperature It does not start the truck. It almost like a ghost Is controlling the device.

I would like to ask you, Where would you hide the body of the alarm In a 4runner? I thought It would have been where the Intellistart Is, but I can't see it. Do you have any Idea of what the second toggle switch might be?

It Is so frustrating having an alarm which from the looks of It was Installed beautifully and no way how to use It's features. Like I said I don't want to go to Clifford or an alarm specialist because they will charge a fortune to figure out the simplest thing, so any more help would be fantastic. Thank You

My remote says Prime at the bottom of It and their Is a number 1 and number 2 In light blue, the led is red.

Does anyone know what clifford alarm goes with this remote?
Does anyone know where I can find the Clifford alarm modual In my 4runner?
