2004 Limited V8 - Help, blower fan keeps stopping and its suppose to be 105 degrees in Phoenix tomorrow.

Symptoms.
1. AC/Heater Blower Fan stops intermittently.
2. AC only is cold when on LO. If I move the temp up it blow only hot air.

Troubleshooting.
Swapped the relay
Replaced the blower/fan and the blower controller. Worked fine for 2 months. Stopped again last weekend. I installed the 2nd set and they worked for 2 days.

Questions/Next Steps
I read on the forum that it could be the front AC panel $1000 brand new, about $130 used. Have people had luck with the used one?

AC amplifier - what does it do and could that be the issue?

So I put the previous blower controller (both are Beck/Arnley) and the fan starting working again. After 2 drives it stopped working. I checked the wires, fuses. I'm stumped.

Seeing as its intermittent and there doesn't seem to be many parts left to replace, I'd replace the amplifier.

Also, the amplifier is like the ecu of your climate control system

Thank you DZ. Do you know where the climate control amp is located?

It's behind the AC controls.

Attached are 2 pdf files from the factory service manual.
One shows the AC amplifier and it's location with the steps required to get to it.
Second file is full disassembly instructions for the dash, you only need to do the steps outlined in the first file.

Good luck and post some pics.
