Replace climate control fan switch?

Does anyone know how to replace the climate control fan switch and what the part number is? It doesn't work when in the "LO" position but otherwise works fine in the other speeds.

Also while I am back there, what are the bulb types to bring light back to the climate control area and rear window button? I remember it used to light up green like the A/C button does right now.

I'd be thinking resistor before switch, unless low works intermittently when you fidget with the switch. The fan low speed works by running the current through a resistor to cut the current. Because that makes heat, they have it sitting in the fan's airflow to keep it cool. It's between the fan and the bland box in the passenger footwell.

Toyota doesn't seem to list the switch separately, just the whole HVAC control panel for $105: Just a moment...

What I'd do is use a multimeter at the resistor to see if it's getting current with the switch on lo, and then look at either replacing the resistor or switch.

I'd tend to just look in a pick and pull yard for parts like that, but it's nice that Toyota still sells new ones if you want to go that route.

As John said, nearly guaranteed to be the resistor. Right behind the glove box.

How about replacing the lights to allow the climate control and rear window button to light up again? Is that fixable?

Amazed that you could tell I drive a manual just from looking at the picture I posted.
