Clock Resets w Fog light switch off...

Hey guys,

This goes back to a prior thread regarding the installation of my HID's.

Ever since I installed my HID's from Xenon Depot, my center instrument cluster clock would reset everytime my lights turn off automatically, (with or without a key fob) unless I had my fog light switch on at ALL TIMES.

If I leave my fog light switch on, the clock will NOT reset.

If I turn my lights off manually, the clock will NOT reset.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN???

How is the fog light switch tied to the clock and why would them being on dictate whether the clock resets or not???

Again, this started after installing the HID's.

Did you uninstall the HID Kit to see if it still happens?

I too have the XenonDepot HID Kit. What I notice, if I leave the headlights on & let the vehicle turn it off automatically, when I come back to the vehicle, the Trip A, Trip B, clock & radio all gets reset.

HOWEVER...I never uninstalled the kit to see if it also occurs.

Yes, I have uninstalled the kit, and the clock DOES NOT reset if the HID kit is UNINSTALLED.

I have rulled this out.

Interesting about your symptoms. I have never thought of looking if my trip A or B resets when this happens. This is something I will look at.

Sorry buddy...I wish I can help you further. I'm unwilling to uninstall my HID Kit to see if it does the same thing at this time I'll give it a try the next time I'm outside doing an oil change to see if it happens to me as well.
