Exciting news!

Everything is packed and everyone should've received tracking information.

I have inspected each of the lights for any faults and function, did not find any issues. Once you receive the light, look over it to make sure it is to your satisfaction and test it to make sure it works as expected.

If you could post some of your install pictures in this thread, that'd be awesome for future reference!

Did a dry fit last night to test the 40” light bar. This weekend I will start to fab a bracket to fit with the Gobi no-rise. Also going to test with a watt/amp meter to see if the 200W as advertised is true. I will post my findings.

Recently bought a bunch of Aurora Lights from elsewhere, in the past 6 months. Black Friday 2017

GB prices is very very good. Like half the price these american resellers sell them.

But Quality is not what it is..

I have a whole bunch of (8x) - 4x spot, 4x floodAurora 40W cubes. They all test at 30W

Bought a 2x 40" S1 Combo bar, rated 200w. Tested 123w.

Bought 4x Aurora 10" Amber lights, rated 30w. Tested 10w each

Bought a 20" S1 bar, rated 100w. Tested 83w

Read on forums, that group buys.. Warranty will be the biggest PITA if you need it. I emailed questions directly to Aurora. And they say its because cree recommends them driven at lower wattages... Which makes no sense.

Be careful of what you are buying.

I was able to return my 4x amber lights and 1x 40"

My lights were sourced from different sellers. All tested sub par.

I now have all Rigid and Baja Lights. They all test at or above advertised wattages. The only thing Aurora has over the cheaper amazon bars.. might be the water proofing. Thought i was getting a good deal in getting something comparable to rigid or baja. Boy was i wrong.

Just tested the single row 40” and I my test concurred with [MENTION=156753]rayofsi[/MENTION]. I measured 120.5W and 8.7A connected directly to the battery. That’s 40% below the advertised 200W and 14A.

Could the numbers be off because these lights are rated for 9-36V and we’re tested at the highest voltage???

Still happy with the lights for what I paid. Visually it’s bright enough and I can’t look directly into the beam.

numbers are not off.. regardless of voltage input, the regulator inside will adjust the amps pulled to still equal 120w.

My biggest question to Aurora was.. why does the 20" bar pull 80w, while the 40" with twice the amount of leds, only pulls 120W instead of 160w.

They skipped over that question of mine. Their excuse was newer leds being used. so they need less power.. Which is a bs excuse. Every other company that uses newer more efficient leds, still keeps the power rating, but ups the lumen rating.

Potential GB in August

Hey everyone,

With the previous GB a success and the dark season coming up, I have some wild thoughts of having another GB in August. Prices would be a bit higher than last time, simply due to the fact that they increased their prices.
