If anyone doesn't do the work on their trucks themselves, can you recommend a trusted mechanic in the Denver area? Or nearby. I have a few things I want to have checked out I can't figure out myself.

where do you live? I've used the guys at Bending Wrenches in Arvada a bunch. good, honest guys and a bunch of them wheel their rigs. not Toy-specific, but good non the less.

I'm by sloans lake. I've heard a lot of people recommend the Toy Shop but its not the closest so wanted to get other recommendations as well. Bending Wrenches isn't to far, I'll check them out.

RSG in Lakewood is another big Toyota Off Road shop. they make their own sliders and bumper and stuff, and focus a lot on the more off-road type upgrades. but I'm taking my t4r there in two weeks for an alignment and possibly to have them replace a CV axle. so they do other regular work as well.

I took both my wife's Subaru and my old Jeep TJ to Bending Wrenches and I sent a handful of other folks there too. good guys for all sorts of work.

I took mine to All-american 4x4 the other day. Not sure about them but they found a lot of stuff. They said my power steering rack needed to be replaced because it was leaking, but it's not leaking profusely so...IDK. They also said my CV Axles needed to be replaced which i then did myself and yup, they were definitely in horrible shape.

Also they didn't charge me anything, and gave me a free Uber (just back to my house, not from my house back to the shop though maybe they would have if I had asked), so... That was nice.

Mines in the body shop. A deer ran into it on south wadsworth. I’ll get it back next week. Then I’m in for some light off roading.

Find anyone? I can show ya

Is anyone around here running 265/70/17s with 5100s and different springs (not spacers)? If so I'd love to see your rig in person; there are so many options and I'm having a very difficult time deciding what to put on my new (to me) '05 V8 rig. It's going to be my daily so I'm more concerned with on road manners and looks than rock crawling capabilities.

If you have not found one yet, I am in Lafayette (Boulder County) and should be around this weekend. Running Tacoma TRD Pro front end and 5100 in rear with air bags. Slight lift, BFG KO2s in 265/70 17.

I just lifted my GX with bilstein 5100's, the ride is improved over stock.

Thank you! I actually just ordered a full Dobinsons kit and got lucky by finding 265/70r17 Nitto Terra Grapplers on Craigslist for super cheap. So... That made my decision real easy, lol

Wheat Ridge here, a few of us go up pretty often.. there was someone trying to get a 4rnr group together but dont think it ever came about.
Ive posted in the past to try and get people out wheeling but never got much interest on here.

We've always done anything from mild to wild lol its really not about the trail its more about the people that makes it fun..

nice! I live right by Pickle Gulch and it's clear almost 100% as of yesterday, so we should set up a run some weekend.

Boulder county needs to open more of the forest roads, everything is still gated for the most part west of peak to peak.

Interested...will keep an eye on this and see if more people join in. There's a possibility I might work until 8 that morning, could come after if I do. Also I just got my parents a GX...if I can get it into my friends shop to do the timing belt and some other work on it that would have to take priority. Will keep you updated!

There is a new sign-up thread for those interested in going. The weather is nice and the trails are clear for the prefect "social distancing" activity.
