My co-worker was telling me during lunch that she rolled her 4runner on the highway. She rolled it 3 times. It was a 1997 runner SR5. She walked away with only a broken nail. It landed on its wheels.

4runners are tanks!!

Is this something that happened some time ago or just recently? Which hwy? Cool that she was ok.

Glad she's OK... why did she hit the divider? Part of a larger accident or was she busy painting those nails??! ;):

I hate 880... it's the most ghetto-assed feeway in the Bay Area with the scariest drivers, an insane number of big-rigs, and the worst road conditions.

since it landed on the wheels, was she able to drive off in it? since toyota is built like tanks, maybe...

wow....that's an incredible Thai......did you notice that the person that caused it just kept driving off in the distance.....probably talking on the cell phone and didn't even think to look back to worry about it......

Happened last week on interstate 880 in the Bay Area. She slammed into the center divider.

she's dumb. no wait. i meant, she's hella dumb. i drove the 880 all the time. there is nothing wrong with it. not the best freeway, but not the worst either. there is no reason she should be rolling her 4runner. the bayarea traffic is bad enough as it is without her making more problems. tell her to do everyone a favor and bart (bay area rapid transit). the problem is bayarea drivers suck. i lived there long enough to say that. they bart all over the place so they suck when they actually do drive somewhere. there is too many people in that little ass area. they actually use there bumpers to "feel" where other cars are. they half park on the side walks to make room for cars on the streets.
there should be a 2 rolls and you're done with suvs rule.

They've since identified the driver that caused the accident and charge them with leaving the scene of an accident.

Back when I was living in Golden a bartender at a local bar that I knew was killed by a drunk driver driving the wrong way on US 6. He was in a 3rd gen 4Runner and swerved to avoid the drunk and ended up rolling right in the middle of the highway. My roommate at the time was a Golden firefighter and one of the first people on the scene. The bartender was killed because when the 4Runner rolled it came down hard on the driver's side A-pillar collapsing it and crushing his head. I'll spare you the gory details my friend had to share with me.

The point is that it doesn't matter what kind of car/truck/SUV you're in; you roll it, and live then consider yourself very lucky.
