Coat Hooks pretty useless

OK, I've only had my 2003 for five years now, but I just discovered how useless the rear coat hooks are. I've been running around buying clothes, and I can't hardly go around a corner without things falling off. So that's it, I'm trading mine in on a 5th Gen!

Just kidding, but has anybody done anything to make these hooks actually be able to hang clothing on?

(BTW: noticed on my bro-in-laws 08 Urban Runner there is a different sort of double hook system, so maybe they fixed that later on.)

Same problem.:redbrick::cry:

I raise the rear seat headrest on the driver's side. I then hang the clothes (in the cargo area) off of the headrest strut. It's not ideal but it works pretty well. Sometimes I hang clothes off of the driver's seat headrest too.
I do the driver's side so I don't limit my vis when I look over my shoulder...
:cheers:

Oh yeah, that's an easy solution!

Does anyone know if the double hooks on the Urban Runner will mount back there?

On those rare occasions when I have to go to the dry cleaners, I use the overhead handle on the rear door on the driver's side.

If I'm traveling, I'll use the hangers in the back, but then use the tonneau cover to help hold them in place.

I have the same problem trying to hang my hunting gear on those hooks..they are useless...what are the double hooks on the Urban Runner? I'd be interested in trying anything to fix this problem.
