Cobra 75 CB Placement

I've been playing with different locations to mount my Cobra 75 and I have somewhere I think will work and I don't see any immediate problems, but I might be missing something obvious.

It is an all-in-one unit so it will be removable when I'm not wheeling.

Would you mind posting a picture of the wires and how you connected them to the truck. I just installed the same cb, then tried to use the swr and got no power to the cb. I wired mine straight to the battery and ground coming off the battery.

I was going to just place my cb by the ebrake while wheeling.

Didn't think of placing the cb there. Nice call.

Haven't gotten quite that far along yet. I just have it propped up there until I decide I like it. I'll probably wire it tomorrow and get back to you. My antenna doesn't even come in till Monday.

I wouldn't think the SWR meter would affect the power...

yeah,

I don't think the swr meter is affecting the power. I think I might have it wired wrong. I thought I installed it correctly. Obviously I missed something though since there is no power to the cb when I turn it on. Just wanted to see a working wiring job.

Good luck with the install.
