I listen to this local NJ station on my way home from work each day. This past week all that has been discussed is this confrontation because Craig Carton is on of the hosts of this show. I will admit that I could be moderately biased because I am a fan of the show but I feel that Dick Codey was completely out of line for his actions. A Star Ledger reporter was there to witness this confrontation and reported it exactly how it happened the next day. She reported that Codey said “If I weren’t Governor I’d take you out”. Not outside like Codey is trying to spin it. What does outside mean even if he did say that? Outside to kick his #$@%? Is that anything a governor should say to anyone? Allegedly Craig and Ray tried to get him to come on the air to have a discussion which he declined and instead showed up at the radio station with four State Troopers to confront him. The short version of what Carton said the previous day is “Codey’s wife should have smoked a joint so that she wasn’t depressed enough to think about putting her baby in the microwave”. I don’t see anything wrong with that being that Codey’s wife said this during a public statement.

I want to see what everyone’s opinions are on this.

I don't listen to that radio station but I heard about this on the news. I don't see a problem with Carton expressing his opinion on the air. It is a fact that the governor's wife did this, so he is not making anything up. I don't think it is normal thinking about putting your baby in the microwave. I think Cody was out of order and should get in trouble for that. Carton never said anything about beating him up. If Cody was such a man, why would he have to show up with state troopers?
