I did a Bilstein 5100 lift in the front of my 99. My stock coils were used and the drivers side is about 1/4 inch lower than the passenger. Everyday I look at it, I get bummed out.
I've been trying to find new "99 High Coils" so that it will be even, and add a little bit more lift (I have a 2WD and the stock coils have 1 less wrap than the 4WD version from that year). Seems these coils are tricky to find unless you spend $400 at a dealer****.
The Eibach's from ToyTec look nice Toytec/Eibach front coil lift springs - Toytec Lifts: Toyota Lift Kits: FJ Cruiser Lift Kits, Tacoma Lift Kits, Tundra Lift Kits, 4 Runner Lift Kits, Sequoia Lift Kits, Toyota Truck Lift Kits but they're a 620lb coil. That's about 200lbs over stock.
Has anyone run a spring that stiff? The toytec coilovers use 600 or 650's. The 650 is designed for use with heavy bumpers or added weight....like if you're running a cast iron V12 with a lead paint finish.
Can you buy the coils that Toytec uses on their complete coilovers? I've asked them before but they didn't get back to me.
In the end, I'm looking for 3 inches of lift and a level front end.
