Coin holder question/challenge

Has anyone ever tried to fit a coin holder like this

into the ash tray on our runners? I personally have no use for the ash tray, but I do have a use for coins. Seems like it could work better then just padding it and throwing coins in there...

haha i basically clean out all my coins after ive filled the quarter holders.

padding the coin holder is a good idea though. and cheaper probably.

Why not just use the slots in the center console. I know they are small, but the ash tray is pretty small as well.

That looks like the same coin holder I got from Pep Boys. I stuck it under and to the right the parking brake handle. Mine had a slot/tab so I can remove the part with the coins

I just put a piece of felt in the bottom of the ashtray to keep my change a bit more quiet.

I have a small plastic tray (about 3"x3"x2") that I leave in the tray under the e-brake, so I can take it out when I want to use the change.
