I LOVE MY 2000 4Runner, and my 84 xtra cab pick up. I have owned toyotas since 1985

my problem is my 84.
22RE, auto sometimes it wont start when it has run/ warmed up. it will do this in the summer or winter
example, go to work in morning, wont start in the evening.
it will sometimes do this just going to the grocery store.
it turns over, just wont fire up. (if you turn key on/off 5 or 6 times it will fire right up)
it had a recent tune up, fuel filter changed, injectors and throttle body cleaned.
Any and all ideas will be apreciated.

Id rather push my yota than drive a chevy!

Tough to diagnose...but I wouldn't doubt that it could be AFM/Fuel pump signal. Disconnect your AFM and check the contacts for corrosion, if you have a multimeter and the FSM then check your resistance values. If all of that checks out and you are sure you have spark at ignitition, move on to fuel rail pressure, injectors next.

You blew me away with abbrevations. I did not find any reference to AFM or FSM in the Haynes manual for 79 to 92 yota 4runners and trucks. (i shure do miss carburetors)
I do have a digital multimeter and there is specifications in the manual for circuit opening relay, solenoid resistor, cold start injector time switch, etc..

A relative of mine owns a repair shop that cleaned/flushed injectors off a pressurized can with fuel pump disconnected. He said pressure was within specs. he could not duplicate problem when he had it or give any insite why it was doing this.

It does not do this every time just sometimes if it means anything. And the truck is bone stock - no mods or alarms.
