Cold start oil splatter

I started up my 89 this morning (v6) after a night with -10 deg. temps. Usually i plug it in but forgot last night. It started up just fine, but after i moved it i noticed what looked like high velocity splatter on the ground where it was parked. It continued to leak some oil after i turned it off and let it sit.


Any thoughts?????

My guess would be front main seal, second guess is valve cover(s).

I have been told that i have valve cover leaks but so far they haven't been too bad. Is this a sign that it is getting worse? Or just a by-product of cold temps?

Yep. They will get worse over time, could be coincidence, could be the cold weather.
